Angagh Kalpakian MacKellar Elwood, 90, passed away in her home in Santa Clarita on August 6, 2009 of cancer. Angagh was born in Adana, Turkey in December 1918. She moved with her parents and sister, Peggy, to the United States in 1923, and later was joined by sisters Betty and Harriett. Angagh graduated from UCLA and became a high school French and Spanish teacher. In 1946 she married George MacKellar. Eight years after his death in 1990, she married Roland "Dee" Elwood.

She is survived by her husband, Roland Elwood; and three children, Jim and wife Michele MacKellar of Thousand Oaks; Patty and husband Jenk Stephenson of Newhall and Nancy and husband Steve Grubb of Fontana; her grandchildren, Karen and Mike MacKellar, Chris and Ben Grubb, Marc and Beth Stephenson; and two great grandchildren, Presley and Dorthy-Jane.

A Celebration of Angagh's life was held at Friendly Valley United Methodist Church on August 16, 2009.
