Children,

I am going to the hospital and should I not come home I want you to get along and to remember to visit each other more in the future then you have in the past. I give Net my pretty dishes, and I want Mickie, Sister, Carolyn, and Bubs to equally divide my pretty glasses, pitchers, sugar and cream sets. Linda, Mickie, and Carolyn have the little sugar and cream sets, and Bubs can have my pretty pepper and salt set. I want Jimmie to have my dishes if Robena don't want them, the ones she gave me, Jimmie the rest. I want you eight girls to use my towels, dish clothes, aprons, pillow cases and my clothes, if you don't then give them to the Salvation Army. You all use my quilts like I have told you, Edna. I want Nath to have my bed just like it is--pillows and all, then the rest of you divide the rest for seven instead of eight. I want Mickie to have my machine since Lucille has one, but I want her to take care of it.

I want Jimmie to take this big box of clothes behind the big chair and sell it to the second hand store, and buy dishes with the money and give Charlie some of them. (The rest of you have got plenty of dishes). Just try to keep up with each and when you can't visit, write each other at least three letters each year. When you have a surplus of anything, give it to anyone who is more unfortunate than you--give it to the needy anytime and remember I love each of you including my in-laws too, you are each mine.

Mama

However, I am putting my trust in Jesus and asking him to see me through. He has done so much for me I know He will pull me through this.

The above information was on a memographed sheet of paper; therefore, I assume there was a hand written copy of this someplace, since my grandmother died August 3, 1962.
