I consider McAdoo, Texas to be my hometown. I lived there on a farm until we moved away in 1958, but I returned there many times working on my Uncle Nath's farm as a young man. My grandparents on both sides lived there at one time, but my Dad's parents lived there until they died. My first memories were from here and they frequently return. The following pictures just represent some memories of times past. Almost all of these pictures were taken in October 2009 in the old school building that I was allowed to have access to.

In October 2009 the only thing remaining at my grandparent's farm is the old windmill.

Wade Waldrop (Roland's brother) lived with Uncle Charlie Stephenson Wade is 9 years younger than Roland. Wade is middle left. Wade left to live with another family and was eventually adopted - now know as E. W. Graves and lives in Springfield, Missouri
