Obituary--

Robbie Martin Wyatt, 104, died on July 4, 2018 in Jayton, Texas. She was born in Dickens County, Texas on November 23, 1913 to Forrest and Mamie Martin. She grew up in the Highway community with her brothers, Harry and Forrest Jr., and sister, Sybil. Her brothers, sister, sisters-in-law, Bessie Lee and Iva Martin, and brother-in-law Cecil Estep preceded her in death. Robbie graduated from Spur high school in 1930 and married Jim B. Wyatt on February 5, 1932. Jim was a farmer and along with Robbie, made their home and raised four children on their farm about 10 miles or so northwest of Clairemont in Kent, County Texas. They moved to the Girard community in 1950, then to Spur in 1985. Jim died in 1998, and their son A. Wayne Wyatt died in 2000. Robbie was so loved and will be missed by family members who survive. These include sons Jimmy T. and Thelma Wyatt of Spur and Kingsport, Tennessee, and E. Ross (Nig) and Patsy Wyatt of Spur, daughter Sharon and Albert Hendricks of Riner, Virginia, daughter-in-law Linda Wyatt of Lubbock and former daughter-in-law, Doris Wyatt of Williamsburg, Va.

Robbie is survived by ten grandchildren whom she dearly loved: Kent Wyatt, Garrett (Erica) Wyatt, Abra (Kimber) Smith, Mika (Robin) Wyatt, Lesia Oesterrich, Bradley (Kala) Wyatt, Michelle Wyatt, Mark (Kate) Hendricks, Brent Hendricks and Blake Hendricks. The great-grand children are Jordan and Arian Smith, Isabel and Nicholas Wyatt, Zakary (Kaitlyn) and Zane Wyatt, Whitley, Will and Jacob Wyatt, and Rebecca Hendricks. Also included are step great-grandchildren, Desiree, Baley, and Shaley, and great-great-grandkids Aria Smith and Arlen Wyatt. Also surviving are numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many special friends. Robbie was a member of the Steele Hill Church of Christ and remained close to the church family throughout.

Robbie's life centered around family and friends. She had learned to read at an early age and enjoyed reading for almost 100 years! She enjoyed all kinds of literature and stayed mentally sharp with her daily crosswords and word jumbles. Her sharp mind and vibrant memory remained with her most of her life; this enabled her to go on managing her life virtually up until the very end. She will be remembered for her letter writing, her cooking and baking, her wit, and her beautiful quilting. Special thanks to all her visitors, family members and special care-givers; for their efforts, we are very grateful. On behalf of all family members, we are especially appreciative for the loving care of the Jayton Nursing Home staff and Accolade Hospice.

A Graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday July 7, 2018 at Red Mud Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday July 6th at Zapata Funeral Home Spur, TX.

Robbie loved flowers, but instead, she would have appreciated your donation of time or money to someone in need; or'97even more in accord with her wishes, a donation to Lubbock Children's Home.

Our mother and grandmother will be greatly missed, fondly remembered and forever loved by those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love will continue to enrich our lives.
