Rites Are Read For S.W. Stephenson

Services were conducted Sunday, January 25, at 2:30 p.m. for Samuel Walter Stephenson at the McAdoo Methodist Church. Rev. Carl Coffey officiated assisted by James Patterson.

Stephenson was born February 24, 1876, at Augusta, Arkansas. He was married to Annie Elizabeth Garrett November 5, 1905 in Dickens. He was converted at an early age in life and joined the Methodist Church.

Pallbearers were Weldon Cypert, O.T. Boucher, Lewis Hickman, Bill McLaughlin, Carl Barton and Walter Pullen.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Edna McCoy of Lubbock, Grace Finley of Meadow, Lucille of Paducah, Roberta Watts of Spur; four sons, Nathan of McAdoo, John of Lockney, Jim and Charlie of McAdoo; one sister, Edna Wisner of Little Rock, Ark. He also reared Roland Waldrop of Abilene.

Interment was in the McAdoo Cemetery with Chandler Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
